What to Expect

1.Initial Fitting

During your first appointment, we’ll try on your gown, discuss your vision, and determine what alterations are needed to achieve the perfect fit. This is where we begin shaping the dress to you.

2. Alteration Work

Your gown is carefully adjusted, which may include working with multiple layers, delicate fabrics, lace, or structural elements. Each change is done with precision to maintain the integrity and design of the dress. This may be done in stages, depending on the amount of work being done.

3. Follow-Up Fittings

Most brides with have 2-3 fittings to ensure everything fits comfortably and looks just right. During these fittings, adjustments are refined and the fit is perfected. Some areas - especially lace, beading, or detailed finishes - may not be fully completed yet. This allows the fit to be perfected first before finalizing those details, ensuring the best possible result.

4.Final Fitting

Your gown is complete and ready for a final try-on to make sure steamed and finished so it’s ready for your wedding day.

Booking Your Appointment

Appointments are required for bridal alterations.

Pricing

Bridal alterations are customized to each gown.

Most brides invest between $400-$700+, depending on the dress and the level of work involved.

After your initial fitting, you’ll receive a more exact quote based on your gown and desired fit.

Timing

It’s best to begin alterations at least 12 weeks before your wedding, allowing enough time for fittings and adjustments. If you are coming from over an hour away, it may be beneficial to start earlier.

Rush appointments may be available depending on schedule.
